Average day.  Overall, I suffered lots of bad beats.  Lost about 4 in a row and then turned things around through tight, aggressive SNG play.  The system is still working as these results show.  Easy money...

Almost exactly the same as yesterday.  A little odd but it happens.  Today we had an incredible first hour. As many of you know, we multitable about 6 at a time.  The first six SNG's we played we landed ITM in all of them.  Very nice... The next 6 were quite a bit different.. only 2 ITM and 4 OTM finishes.  This made our overall gain very nice!  Remember - play for 1st - not 3rd.

 July 22, 2006 +$475 ---> +$237.50 /hr!!

Solid up day. Very nice winning day. Overall, results today are a little better than our average.  Can't complain!  Making $475 in two hours is not bad work..

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Hope you're having a nice day.  We did.. Overall, we were below average but still had an up day.  We suffered many bad beats early on. As you know we multitable, one table had AA the next KK. I got both tables all-in against a lone opponent.  What happened next is crazy... My Aces are against Kings. Flop comes and you guessed it.. he hit a set.  That hurt, but not as much as what happens on the next table. Yep, my KK is against  AA. Of course.. I didn't hit my set and lost both all-ins.  This all happened in the first 10-15 minutes of play for the day.  When this happens, it's actually a good idea to take a break. Even the best players can go on tilt.  I felt the urge coming but fortunately, I had a couple other nice hands hit right after the two beats - so it helped me deal with it.  I still had to take a breather, though. Man.. what are the odds, back to back hands on two different tables AA cracked by KK and then KK up against AA.   Played some more in the evening and sure enough.. crushed the tables. Hope you enjoy reading the results.. take care everyone!

An incredible session today - above average. We played the $50 SNG's and had great results. Those of you who follow along regularly know that we like to go back and forth between the $50 and lower limit SNG's, just to mix it up and show results for all SNGs. Overall, our results at the lower limit are generally better, but we still do quite well at the $50's. We even play the $100's at times. In many ways, the $100's are the easiest. Play is very predictable, and at times there seems to be scared money at the tables. Scared money is a disaster in SNG's.  You must be able to take stands.. to do this, you must not be concerned about your buy-in. You must play almost as if the money is play money. Aggressive wins in SNG's.  Don't be a donkey, though!

Muy bueno! A solid up day. This morning was very typical. Hit my averages in both ROI and ITM. Had more 4th place finishes than usual but overall very good.

Excellent day so far. We pulled in some nice 1st place finishes. Overall, a very solid day.  We played this morning some and just finished a lunch session.  Tomorrow I will begin talking about a couple key concepts from the system.  Stay tuned and bookmark this page. I'll be discussing a key topic from the system every day (if possible). Email me if you would like to see something in particular.  Expect updates to be made every morning.  Tomorrow, we will begin with a discussion on playing to have high ITM (over 45%).

Overall had a below average day.  Didn't have any 1st place finishes, which is why our results are so low.  As you can see, ITM was good but ROI was horrible! In the system, we address why it's good to play for 1st place. This is a good example of what happens when you don't hit enough 1st place finishes. To this end, we play for first place while avoiding unnecessary risks.  We'll be trying to provide tips in the blog along with better comments than what we normally do. Also.. we'll be posting various charts to show current standings. Cheers!

Currently Featured System: Sit-n-Go System

We are currently playing our Sit-n-Go system every morning. We switch buy-ins around to show results for various buy-ins. Currently we are playing the $55+5 and $25+2 buy-ins.

Poker summary   50s

ROI     50.7%

ITM     56.1%

Total Tourneys   57
Multitable utilization   #DIV/0!
Total entries   $3,135.00
Total prizes   $4,725.00
SNG Profit     $1,590.00

$/Tourney     $27.89

Key Terms:

ROI: Return on Investment. This is the percent you win on average from a single sit-n-go. 20% is a very typical number for a winning player at the lower limits. This number usually is 10-15% for higher limits ($50 - $100 buy-ins).

ITM: In the money. This is the % that you finish in position that will get paid. In most online SNG's this is 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

SNG/Sit-n-Go: A sit-n-go is a short one table tournament (lasts from 30 to 90 minutes). Usually they have 9 or 10 players.  Everyone contributes the buy-in amount into the pot ($25 in our games) plus you pay a fee ($2). Typically the fee is 10% of the buy-in. When people talk about sit-n-gos (SNG's) they refer to two numbers. The first is the buy-in amount, the second is the fee or rake the house gets.  So for a $25+2 SNG, you get $27 deducted from your account. $25 goes to the prize pool and $2 goes to the online poker room.

For the $25+2 SNG's we play, payout amounts are as follows:

Payout Percentages   Prizes Net
1st 50% $112.50 $85.50
2nd 30% $67.50 $40.50
3rd 20% $45.00 $18.00

For the $55+5 SNG's we play, payout amounts are as follows:

Payout Percentages   Prizes Net
1st 50% $247.50 $187.50
2nd 30% $148.50 $88.50
3rd 20% $99.00 $39.00

Multitable: For a user of any mechanical system (like ours), it is very easy to play multiple tables. You get used to how to act for any given situation and can quickly make your move depending on how the system instructs you to play. We don't keep track of our opponents play... we simply play the cards we have in front of us following some simple rules.  This allows us to play multiple tables at once.  We overlap them on our screen so that when we have to make a decision, the window pops up and we click - bet/check or fold.  Initially, multitabling can be tough. Lots is happening at once.  You quickly get used to it however. In our system, we instruct you to play one table initially to get used to the system. Once you find yourself getting bored playing one table, you add another one. This can continue until you have about 8-16 tables going at once. This is the max cutoff. To multitable or not multitable is a choice for you to make. You can use our system on one table and still do great.   PLEASE REMEMBER: you must be a winning player to multitable! If you are not a long term winner and you multitable, you will have disastrous results!
