This page will be updated every day by Systematic Poker. We update
our current totals and provide commentary on the days
play.
What is Project $3,000?
1. Using the Sit-n-Go
System, generate $3,000 dollars playing part
time.
2. Play only $50+5, $30+3 & $20+2 SNG's. We play
different levels because we like to multitable. In order to make
good use of time, we have to allow the lower limit SNG's (20,30)
so we don't have to wait for the required players at the higher
limits when we're playing in off hours.
3. Post comments and track the daily progress on this page.
4. Provide hand histories at the end of the project for all to
see. This will be an independent verification of our results.

Day 3 very good.. played a little higher limit to mix things up
a little. I'll probably be toggling between the 20, 30 and 50

Day 2 was very typical. Although our ITM is typicall a
little less - we like to hit ITM rates of over 40% for higher
limits and over 45% in the lower limits. These values are
what we aim for - a decent ITM player will make money long term
with these rates. Too many 3rd place finishes and not
enough 1st/2nds but still an up day. Because of the
horrible play at the lower limits - its easier to slip by ITM in
many cases where at the higher limits people will have taken you
out. So no complaints! A good day... take care!

Today we had a nice start to project $3000. The only
negative was that we didn't have a single 1st place win.
We will be switching between $20, $30 and $50 SNG's just to
demonstrate its potential. At the end of the project -
we'll provide in depth analysis on which level did the best and
why. Hopefully the goal will be achieved in about 30 days.
Time will tell for sure. Keep following along. We'll be updating

Key Terms:
ROI: Return on Investment. This is the percent you win on
average from a single sit-n-go. 20% is a very typical number for
a winning player at the lower limits. This number usually is
10-15% for higher limits ($50 - $100 buy-ins).
ITM: In the money. This is the % that you finish in
position that will get paid. In most online SNG's this is 1st,
2nd and 3rd place.
SNG/Sit-n-Go: A sit-n-go is a short one table tournament
(lasts from 30 to 90 minutes). Usually they have 9 or 10
players. The second number after the "+" from below, shows
the cost of playing the tournament ($5 for the $55 SNG and $9
for the $105 SNG). The rest of the money goes into the prize
pool ($55 and $105 respectively).
